Designers who need editable generations
Creators who want to move, resize, recolor, replace or remove individual objects rather than repeatedly regenerating the full scene.
Independent tool overview
Reve v1.5 was a native-4K text-to-image model released in February 2026; it was replaced across the active Reve product by Reve 2.0 in June and the current Reve 2.1 model in July.

Overview
Reve v1.5 is no longer the model users create with in the active Reve app. Reve explicitly said that 2.0 replaced every earlier model, then shipped Reve 2.1 as the current upgrade. This page therefore follows the live successor while preserving the v1.5 history people may still be searching for.
The current Reve product is a browser-based creative workspace for generating and editing native-4K images through chat, references and a layout-aware editor. Reve 2.1 extends the 4K direction introduced by v1.5 with more precise spatial planning, addressable image regions and stronger multilingual text rendering. The product remains active after Reve's July 2026 investment announcement, although its API has separately been discontinued.
Use cases
The strongest fit depends on the job you need the product to complete, not the size of its feature list.
Creators who want to move, resize, recolor, replace or remove individual objects rather than repeatedly regenerating the full scene.
Brand, poster and editorial experiments that benefit from Reve 2.1's improved dense and multilingual text rendering.
Mood boards, campaign directions, storyboards and print-oriented concepts that benefit from native 4K output.
Teams combining literal image references, loose visual inspiration, documents or saved reference collections.
Capabilities
Reve 2.1 renders at a full 16 megapixels, carrying forward the high-resolution direction introduced with v1.5.
The model plans images as structured regions with spatial relationships, giving users more direct control over composition.
Users can select elements to move, resize, recolor, swap or remove while keeping the surrounding image editable.
The editor supports targeted natural-language changes, sketched additions, layered visual effects, background removal and upscaling.
Uploaded images can be treated literally or as inspiration, and PDFs or audio can supply visual direction for a project.
Reve says 2.1 improves dense, legible text and extends rendering to foreign scripts.
Creators can begin from a prompt and refine a selected result through follow-up instructions without overwriting the original.
Process
Step 1
Describe the subject, layout, hierarchy, palette, lighting, text and intended output rather than relying on a vague style prompt.
Step 2
Mark images as Literal when content or composition should carry through, or Inspiration when only the mood and aesthetic should guide the result.
Step 3
Choose from the supported landscape, square and portrait ratios and set persistent preferences through custom instructions if useful.
Step 4
Select objects or regions for focused changes, then use effects, background removal or upscaling instead of restarting every iteration.
Step 5
Zoom in on hands, type, logos, reflections, edges and other high-risk details even when the overall 4K result looks convincing.
Step 6
Use only references you have permission to provide and review the account's model-training control before uploading sensitive work.
Cost
Reve uses monthly subscriptions and an energy allowance rather than publishing a fixed number of images. Free receives daily creative energy, Lite costs $7.99 per month and Pro costs $19.99 per month. The former API is no longer available.
$0
Entry access with an introductory allocation and basic creative energy refreshed daily.
$7.99/mo
Monthly plan with more standard creative energy and storage.
$19.99/mo
Highest self-serve allowance for frequent image and video creators.

No as the current creation model. Reve said that 2.0 replaced every model that came before it on June 3, 2026, and the app subsequently moved to Reve 2.1.
Reve 2.0 replaced v1.5, and Reve 2.1 followed on July 9, 2026. The current model adds more precise layout planning, object-level editing and improved multilingual text rendering.
Yes. Reve said in July 2026 that its existing products, including Reve.com, would continue operating independently after an investment from OpenAI.
Yes. Reve describes 2.1 as native 4K and specifies a full 16-megapixel render.
Reve has a Free plan with basic creative energy refreshed daily. Lite is $7.99 per month and Pro is $19.99 per month, before applicable tax.
Reve does not publish a simple fixed image count in its plan overview. It describes allowances as creative energy, with Lite at 5x Free and Pro at 100x Free, so actual use depends on the operations performed.
No. Reve's current support notice says the API was discontinued on August 14, 2026 and unused credits would be refunded.
Content from Free accounts may be used for training. Lite and Pro accounts are opted in by default but can turn off model training for content created or provided after the opt-out.
Reve's terms say users own any rights Reve has in their output, but warn that outputs may not be unique, protectable or free of third-party rights. Users remain responsible for lawful inputs and use.
Yes. Users can upload images, choose literal or inspirational reference behavior, make conversational edits and use object selection, Spotlight, drawing, effects, background removal and upscaling.
Bottom line
Reve v1.5 was an important step toward native-4K image generation, but it is no longer the version a buyer should evaluate. The live decision is Reve 2.1: a low-cost visual workspace with unusually direct layout and object editing. It is compelling for iterative design work, provided teams are comfortable with energy-based limits, review training and visibility settings, and do not need the discontinued API.
