Founders and product teams
Turn a product idea into a working prototype, then iterate on design, application logic, data, and deployment in one environment.
Independent tool overview
Replit Agent 4 is Replit's current AI building system for turning plain-language requests into apps, designs, slides, animations, and data tools. Its strongest upgrade is coordinated parallel work, but production use requires a paid plan, careful cost controls, and human review.

Overview
Replit Agent 4 combines design, planning, coding, runtime, collaboration, and publishing in one browser-based workspace. Users can start from a plain-language idea, explore interface options on a Design Canvas, convert a selected direction into an app, and ask Agent to implement front-end, back-end, database, authentication, and integration work.
The defining Agent 4 change is task-based parallel execution. Independent requests can run in isolated copies of a project, appear on a shared Kanban board, and be reviewed before their changes are applied to the main version. Replit's current pricing page lists two parallel agents on Core and ten on Pro.
Agent 4 is an active Replit capability rather than a separate product subscription. Starter can try Agent with daily credits and limited building, while Core and Pro unlock full builds, planning, connectors, and broader artifact support. Agent work is effort-priced, so the subscription price is only the starting point for budgeting.
Use cases
The strongest fit depends on the job you need the product to complete, not the size of its feature list.
Turn a product idea into a working prototype, then iterate on design, application logic, data, and deployment in one environment.
Split independent work across isolated Agent tasks and review each result before applying it to the main project.
Create an app alongside supporting slides, data views, or animations while keeping project context together.
Capabilities
Agent can run independent tasks simultaneously, track them on a shared board, and apply completed changes back to the main project.
Generate multiple interface directions on an open canvas, refine responsive and interaction states visually, and convert approved designs into working artifacts.
Agent turns requests into visible tasks, tracks dependencies, and can sequence work while the user reviews plans and results.
The same workspace can cover front-end code, back-end behavior, authentication, databases, integrations, runtime checks, and publishing.
Team members can open separate Agent threads, see work on a shared Kanban board, and review changes before merging.
Agent 4 supports web and mobile apps, landing pages, data applications, slide decks, animations, and related project assets.
Process
Step 1
Start with the user, core workflow, constraints, and acceptance criteria rather than asking Agent to build an undefined app.
Step 2
Use Plan Mode for scope and Design Canvas for interface variants before committing expensive Agent work to code.
Step 3
Separate independent front-end, back-end, data, and integration work so parallel tasks have clear ownership and fewer conflicts.
Step 4
Inspect each ready task, test the combined app, resolve conflicts, and verify deployment, data, permissions, and costs before launch.
Cost
Replit subscriptions include platform credits, but Agent uses effort-based pricing for paid work and other Replit services draw from the same credit pool. Current list prices are $20 monthly for Core and $100 monthly for Pro; annual billing lowers the effective monthly price to $17 and $95 respectively.

Replit Agent 4 is Replit's current AI building workflow for creating and modifying apps, designs, slides, data tools, animations, and other project artifacts from plain-language requests.
You can try Agent on the free Starter plan with daily credits and limited building. Full builds, Plan Mode, connectors, and conversion from designs to broader artifacts require Core or Pro.
Starter is free. Core is currently $20 monthly or $17 per month billed annually, and Pro is $100 monthly or $95 per month billed annually. Agent work can also consume credits through effort-based pricing.
Replit's current pricing page lists two parallel agents on Core and ten on Pro. Starter does not list parallel-agent access.
It can build and publish substantial applications, but no AI agent makes a project production-ready by itself. Review code, permissions, security, data migrations, tests, monitoring, deployment settings, and ongoing costs.
Paid Agent work uses effort-based pricing: simple requests generally cost less than complex builds. Included plan credits can also cover other Replit services, and users can track checkpoint costs and set budgets.
Bottom line
Replit Agent 4 is strongest for people who value an integrated path from idea and design to a running, collaborative application. The task board and parallel execution are meaningful improvements for multi-part work, especially on Pro. Start with a constrained pilot, set a hard budget, and judge it on the quality and cost of a fully reviewed feature—not on how impressive the first generated screen looks.
