Overview
Lovable Payments brings checkout, subscription data, and payment-provider setup into the Lovable app builder. Tell Lovable what you want to sell, and it can create the products, prices, checkout interface, and supporting infrastructure.
The feature supports Paddle and Stripe. Paddle acts as merchant of record for eligible digital products, handling payments, taxes, compliance, invoices, and receipts. Stripe supports a broader mix of digital products, services, and physical goods, with optional Managed Payments in supported markets.
This is best for founders who are already building on Lovable and want a guided path from prototype to paid product. It is not a standalone billing platform, and it requires Lovable Cloud plus a Pro or higher Lovable plan.
Use cases
The strongest fit depends on the job you need the product to complete, not the size of its feature list.
Create recurring plans, trials, discounts, account access, and a hosted customer portal.
Sell courses, templates, downloads, memberships, and other eligible digital goods.
Add a paid unlock or lifetime purchase without hand-building the checkout infrastructure.
Use Paddle's merchant-of-record model when automated sales-tax and compliance handling matters.
Capabilities
Describe the product, price, trial, or discount in a prompt and Lovable builds the payment flow.
Lovable analyzes the project and recommends a provider or lets eligible users choose between them.
Keep test transactions separate from production and validate the full purchase lifecycle before launch.
Review revenue, subscriptions, transactions, refunds, credits, chargebacks, and go-live tasks inside the project.
Give buyers a provider-hosted place to update payment methods, view invoices, or cancel subscriptions.
Products and prices created in the test environment sync to production when the project is published.
Process
Step 1
Describe whether you need a subscription or one-time purchase and include the intended prices.
Step 2
Review Lovable's Paddle or Stripe recommendation based on what you sell and where you operate.
Step 3
Generate products, prices, checkout, trials, and discounts, then test success, cancellation, renewal, and failed-payment paths.
Step 4
Finish the provider's business checks, policies, payout details, and Lovable readiness checklist.
Step 5
Launch the app, let products sync to live mode, and track payment activity in the Payments tab.
Cost
Built-in payments require a paid Lovable plan and Lovable Cloud. Lovable says it adds no transaction fee beyond the selected provider's normal charges.
Pro plan or higher
A paid Lovable workspace is required before built-in payments can be enabled.
5% + $0.50 per transaction
Merchant-of-record processing for eligible digital products, with no monthly Paddle fee.
Standard Stripe rates
Pay-as-you-go processing based on the business's country, payment method, and selected Stripe services.

It is Lovable's built-in feature for adding subscriptions and one-time purchases to apps through Paddle or Stripe.
Paddle acts as merchant of record for eligible products and handles applicable tax compliance. Stripe offers optional Managed Payments in fewer countries, while standard Stripe processing leaves more responsibility with the seller.
No. Lovable says using Paddle or Stripe through Lovable costs the same as setting up that provider directly, although a paid Lovable plan and usage credits are still required.
Yes. During go-live, you claim the Stripe sandbox created by Lovable and can link it to an existing Stripe account.
Stripe can support physical-product payments, but Lovable recommends its Shopify integration when inventory and logistics are part of the store.
No. Lovable currently allows one payment provider per project.
Bottom line
Lovable Payments is a strong shortcut for turning a Lovable prototype into a paid app, especially when a founder wants checkout, subscriptions, testing, and tax-aware provider options without assembling every integration manually. Choose Paddle for merchant-of-record simplicity or Stripe for broader business-model flexibility, and test every entitlement and cancellation path before launch.
