What 11ai is
11ai launched in June 2025 as an alpha proof of concept from ElevenLabs. Instead of only answering spoken questions, it paired natural voice interaction with Model Context Protocol connections so an assistant could research information, read workplace context, and take authorized actions.
The original examples included planning a day in Linear, researching a prospect with Perplexity, reviewing Slack conversations, and working with Notion or custom MCP servers. Users could choose from ElevenLabs' voice library or create a cloned voice for the assistant.
11ai is no longer presented as a separate product destination. The 11.ai domain now redirects to ElevenAgents, ElevenLabs' current platform for configuring and deploying voice and chat agents. This review therefore distinguishes the original 11ai experiment from the commercial platform that now carries its underlying agent capabilities.
