MaxAI.me is an all-in-one browser assistant designed to work on top of the page a user is already viewing. Its extension can summarize or discuss webpages, PDFs, YouTube videos, emails, screenshots, and selected text, while also offering rewriting, translation, search, and reply tools.

The main convenience is consolidation. Instead of switching among separate chat products, MaxAI presents multiple model families and common reading or writing actions through a sidebar, selection menu, and web app. Paid users can also connect supported models with their own API keys, according to the pricing FAQ.

That convenience comes with a broader trust boundary than an ordinary chatbot tab. A browser extension that works across Gmail, Google Docs, LinkedIn, and general webpages may be exposed to sensitive page context and selected content. Limit site access where the browser allows it, keep it disabled on financial, health, admin, customer-data, and internal systems, and review every permission after updates.

The current privacy disclosures need clarification before sensitive organizational use. MaxAI's policy, last dated June 2023, says it does not collect browsing or chatting data and collects mainly name, email, settings, and technical reports. The current Chrome Web Store listing separately says the extension handles personally identifiable information and user activity. Those statements are not detailed enough to reconcile exactly what is processed, transmitted, retained, or sent to model providers.

MaxAI's public pricing page also names older model versions even though the extension listing was updated in August 2026. Buyers should treat the listed allowances—daily-limited, fast, smart, reasoning, and image requests—as the durable plan concept and verify the actual model lineup inside the product before subscribing.
