What LTXV was

LTXV was Lightricks' open video-generation model family. The July 2025 v0.9.8 release offered distilled 2B and 13B checkpoints, improved prompt understanding, ComfyUI workflows, optional FP8 weights, and long-shot generation up to 60 seconds. Related IC-LoRA controls supported depth, pose, Canny edges, and detail enhancement.

LTXV is now a historical model line. Lightricks announced LTX-2 in October 2025 as the next generation and identifies it as the primary home for current development, adding synchronized audio and video, higher fidelity, keyframe controls, and newer training workflows. The old LTXV repositories and checkpoints remain useful for reproducibility and legacy pipelines, but new projects should evaluate the current LTX-2 release first.

Past capabilities

What LTXV offered

Text and image conditioning

Generated video from prompts and supported image-to-video workflows.

Long-shot generation

The 0.9.8 13B release added workflows for clips up to 60 seconds.

Fast distilled checkpoints

2B and 13B distilled variants reduced sampling steps and supported faster iteration, including FP8 options.

Control adapters

IC-LoRA models added depth, pose, Canny-edge, and detailer guidance in compatible pipelines.

Availability

Why this listing is historical

The LTXV code repository is available under Apache 2.0 and legacy checkpoints can be downloaded, but local use still carries GPU, storage, engineering, and rendering costs. There is no current paid LTXV subscription because development has moved to LTX-2.

  • LTX-2 is the current model family and primary development focus
  • Long clips can accumulate motion, identity, composition, and temporal errors
  • Self-hosting requires compatible GPU memory, pinned dependencies, and video-pipeline expertise

Questions

LTXV FAQs

Is LTXV still the current Lightricks video model?

No. Lightricks identifies LTX-2 as the next generation and primary home for active development. LTXV 0.9.8 remains available for legacy and research use.

Could LTXV generate 60-second videos?

The July 2025 LTXV 0.9.8 release added long-shot generation up to 60 seconds for the 13B model through its published workflows.

Was LTXV open source?

The official repository is published under Apache 2.0 with code, configurations, and links to compatible checkpoints. Users still need to review the terms attached to every downloaded model or integration.
