What Heeyo was
Heeyo launched publicly in August 2024 as an AI tutor and play companion for young children. The company said its characters could adapt by age, converse in many languages, read with children, answer questions, and join educational games.
Parents and children could design an AI character and generate personalized stories, books, lessons, trivia, and other activities around a child's interests or family values. The app was released for iOS and Android and marketed as ad-free and COPPA compliant.
