Parallel app work
Developers splitting a larger Replit build into reviewable pieces that can run independently.
Independent tool overview
Replit Tasks are units of work on Replit Agent's task board, where planned changes move through Drafts, Active, Ready, and Done stages.

Overview
The task board gives users one place to inspect a plan, launch background tasks, monitor work, review completed changes, and decide what to apply. Each task runs in an isolated copy of the project, reducing interference with the main version while work is in progress.
Tasks are part of Replit Agent rather than a separate general-purpose project manager. Generated changes still require review, testing, and explicit application, and availability or usage draws from the Replit plan and Agent limits.
Use cases
The strongest fit depends on the job you need the product to complete, not the size of its feature list.
Developers splitting a larger Replit build into reviewable pieces that can run independently.
Users who want to monitor planned, active, ready, and completed Agent work in one view.
Capabilities
Organizes agent work by status and makes progress visible.
Runs each task away from the main project until the user applies it.
Lets users inspect ready work before bringing changes into the project.
Process
Step 1
Ask Replit Agent to break a larger request into reviewable pieces.
Step 2
Start selected tasks and follow their status on the board.
Step 3
Inspect outputs, test changes, and apply only the tasks that meet the requirement.
Cost
Replit does not publish a standalone Tasks price in the task-board documentation. Tasks are part of Replit Agent and consume the usage or credits associated with the user's Replit plan.

Bottom line
Replit Tasks are valuable when an Agent request can be divided into independent review units. The board improves control, but quality still depends on good task boundaries and deliberate review before changes reach the main project.
