Noodl is a visual development environment rather than a prompt-only app generator. Designers and developers assemble interfaces and reactive logic in a node graph, connect data and APIs, add JavaScript where needed, and export a React-based web application.
The original commercial cloud product has been replaced by an open-source edition. The official repository tells users of the deprecated closed-source version to move projects to Git, migrate their database and back end, and self-host the front end. The editor is GPLv3, while Noodl's deployed application runtimes and the source code of apps created with it are MIT-licensed.
Noodl AI exists as an older beta inside editor version 2.9 documentation. It can generate JavaScript functions, database logic, API calls, user-interface elements and images from commands.
