Afforai is now Logically. The old Afforai domain redirects to Logically, and Afforai Inc. remains the company behind the product. The current service is broader than the original AI document chat experience, combining a reference manager, research assistant, file annotator, document writer, Word add-in, and small writing tools.
Researchers can import files, URLs, DOIs, and reference exports; organize them into folders and shared libraries; annotate documents; ask questions across selected sources; and insert citations while writing. Research modes can use the user's library, Semantic Scholar, or web search, with inline source links attached to answers.
The integrated workflow is convenient, but cited output still needs manual verification. A citation can point to a real paper while misrepresenting its methods, population, result, or limitation, and generated prose must comply with the user's institution, journal, employer, or course policy.
