🐦 Twitter Joins The AI Frenzy

Elon Musk appears to be pushing Twitter toward a significant artificial intelligence project after reports that the company just purchased 10,000 GPUs and recruited talent from Google DeepMind, as covered a month ago in our previous issue.

A GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is a specialized computer chip that accelerates complex math calculations, making it particularly suited for AI systems that require large amounts of data processing. Think of it as the engine of a race car, while a traditional CPU (used for regular computers) would be an engine in a family sedan.

While details of the project remain under wraps, we know that 10,000 GPUs is no small investment- and Twitter will be a company on strong watch in the future generative AI space.

🌎 Kuwait Unveils AI News Anchor

Kuwait News, a leading media outlet in the Middle Eastern country, has introduced "Fedha," a fully AI-generated virtual news reporter.

Her appearance reflects Kuwait's diverse population, and she may eventually even develop a Kuwaiti accent and even read live online news bulletins.

As AI technology evolves, distinguishing AI-generated characters from real people may become increasingly challenging. Could this signal a new era for news and social media?

🤖 OpenAI Launches Bug Bounties

OpenAI just introduced its Bug Bounty Program, which will pay people between $200 to $20,000 to help the company find vulnerabilities in its AI systems, such as ChatGPT.

The company believes in the importance of transparency and collaboration and acknowledges the contributions of the research community to help maintain secure and advanced AI systems.
